New CNC Vertical Machining Centre from XYZ

As part of our ongoing drive to be more productive and efficient we have invested heavily in a new CNC Vertical Machining Centre from XYZ. This will improve the manufacturing time for the locks and hinges used in our Feeder Pillars for Street Lighting and Outdoor Power Supply. It will also allow us to produce, economically, other components used within the company. Its main benefit is to reduce manufacturing time allowing us to continue to deliver our products ahead of the competition.

As we still have the original basis of Fisher & Co, the Precision Toolmaking business, our new baby will be working hard to earn its keep.

Full XYZ training has been given to staff on the VMC and it has impressed everyone using it with the ease of operation and speed of production. There are wide smiles in the Tooling Room! It just goes to show that you don’t have go to India or China and the British Bulldog still has some bite.
